How to Query a Bill with a Subscriber (Installation) Number

14 August 2026
You can find out your debt even without the paper bill in your hand. All you need is the number that identifies your subscription.
Which number is required on which bill?
- Electricity: installation number (in some distribution companies it is called the 'contract account number').
- Natural gas: subscriber number or installation number.
- Water: subscriber number or contract number; water authorities are city-based.
- Mobile and internet: the phone number of the line or the customer number.
- TV and satellite broadcasting: customer or contract number.
Where do you find the number?
The subscriber number appears at the top of the paper bill, next to the address details. If you receive an electronic bill it is in the e-mail.
Enquiry channels
If you have your subscriber number, you can find out your debt in several ways:
- The institution's own website or mobile app.
- Payment institution apps: once you save your subscriber number in Faturamatik Wallet, your debt appears on screen every period.
- Faturamatik authorised service points: when you give your number, your current debt is queried and you can pay at the same time.
Points to watch when querying
- Choose the right institution: there may be more than one distribution company in the same city; go by the institution name on the bill.
- Enter the number in full: including leading zeros, exactly as written on the bill.
- Do not panic if no debt appears: the new period's bill may not have been issued yet, or the payment may have just been recorded.
- Enter your subscriber number only on channels you trust; beware of 'debt enquiry' pages reached through unfamiliar links.
Once you have learned and saved your subscriber number you will not need to look for it again each period; enquiry and payment are completed in a single step.
